1972 - Nationalisation of the toy company
The development of the company C. M. Breitung was stopped all of a sudden by becoming a state owned company in 1972. From now on the company was continued under the name VEB Plüti. More than 1000 people were employed here at GDR times and produced dolls and soft toys.
1990 – Privatisation of the toy company
On the 1st July in 1990 the privatisation of the company under the name Plüti nova GmbH took place. The brand Plüti as an expression for exclusive plush toys with collective character, become known for the true nature reproduction of soft toys.
In 1995 the company was spited in Plüti nova GmbH, Günter Steiner GmbH and Co. KG and in the Plüti Verwaltungs GmbH.
